The Arts Reimagined: Atlantis, 2021 was a phenomenal way to start term 4, transforming our school into an evening festival where the students, staff and community were able to relish together in the creative spirits of our student's talents. The performances took place over the whole school; the main stage where various senior music performances occurred along with the Concert and Stage band and the aesthetically pleasing Wearable Art Fashion Parade. Outside the resource centre was the acoustic alcove which was run by the senior Music in Practice students and held performances from a variety of junior students, the choir and Strings Quartet. Down in the auditorium there were Drama performances from Grades 9 through to 12, presenting scenes in the style of Collage Drama, Magical Realism and Reimagined Hamlet. The Resource Centre was where all the incredible art work was on display and everyone had the opportunity to vote for their favourite Junior and Senior Art work.
A big thanks to our sponsor, The Canvas Art Factory for supplying $300 worth of gift vouchers for the lucky recipients of these Art awards. With all this going on the community had a smorgasbord of creative work to satisfy anyone's appetite. With the addition of food trucks, the Jabiru play-bus and some market stalls, Bracken Ridge State High School was truly alive and everyone was enjoying the buzz in the air.
