Assessment policy

Assessment includes any assignment, research project, report, field study, exam, practical, oral or group presentation that is a measure of student performance. The aim of the policy is to ensure fairness and equity is maintained across the school, therefore supporting students to achieve to the best of their ability.

Attendance policy

​Bracken Ridge State High School recognises that student and school achievement is strongly linked to attendance and engagement in a program of school study. This policy refers to the processes and practices required to promote high attendance rates for all students.​​

Enrolment agreement

The enrolment agreement sets out the responsibilities of the student during the time he/she remains enrolled at Bracken Ridge State High School.

Homework policy

Homework is an integral part of study, developing habits and skills of independent work, and self-directed learning necessary for career and personal development through life. This policy is provided to assist in this development.

Indigenous education policy

The school supports and promotes a positive approach to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives into our curriculum as outlined in the policy.

Mobiles phones, portable music devices, cameras and other electronic devices

The school environment focuses on providing a positive, supportive and productive learning environment for all students. The Policy clearly outlines the school’s position on electronic devices.

Uniform guidelines

The school uniform and dress code reflects our school community standards. All students are expected to comply fully with the school dress code endorsed and supported by the P&C Association and outlined in detail in the guidelines.

Users of information technology policy

Access to information technology resources enhances learning and teaching in a school environment; however, strict guidelines must be adhered to that ensure a positive, supportive and productive learning environment for all students. The Policy includes the information technology agreement.

Refund Policy

If a parent wishes to apply for a refund to to their child's non-participation in an extra-curricular activity, they may do so by completing a Refund request form.

Student Code of Conduct

This Student Code of Conduct is designed to facilitate high standards of behaviour so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively within our school community.
