National Sorry day is a day nominated to recognise
and pay tribute to those who suffered as a result of the actions during
the stolen generation.
We pay our respects to those who lost
their loved ones through these actions, whilst we look toward the future
of bringing people together, we do this through the recognition of such
a sad event in history.
Today, we take the time to recognise
just how far we have come, and also how much further we still have to
go, in finding our final reconciliation spot within Australia’s dark
history. A day where we concentrate on the healing process and moving
forward to make this country a better place for our first nation peoples
and their families.
