Students are welcome to enrol at Bracken Ridge State High School any time during the year. Enrolment packages are readily available through the school office and provide an extensive amount of useful information. If you prefer, you may also download the school's policy and agreement forms on the right to read through and complete as much as possible which will save time during your interviews.

Enrolment procedures for all year levels

To ensure that the enrolment process is a smooth one, the steps are as follows:

  • Collect an enrolment package from the school office or download from right to print and complete.
  • Complete the department's Application for Student Enrolment (PDF, 466 KB) and submit to the office with the following documents:

    • Birth certificate

    • Most recent school report

    • Passport and visa if born overseas

    • Any other information which would assist in placing the student in the appropriate course of study

    • All other paperwork in the enrolment package.

  • As soon as practicable, the school will advise whether or not the application to enrol has been successful. If successful, the Enrolment Officer will organise an enrolment interview. A parent/guardian will need to be present with the student at the enrolment interview.

Enrolment procedures for year 7 students in 2019

The information package which includes an enrolment form is available directly from the high school as well as being distributed through the local primary schools each year. All relevant forms for enrolment are also available from our websites enrolment package on right hand side.

  • Complete and return the department's Application for Student Enrolment form (PDF, 466 KB) to the high school or to your local primary school.
  • All parents/guardians will be contacted by telephone to confirm enrolment and organise an interview time once enrolment forms have been received.
  • Attend an interview:
    • All new families are required to attend an interview with the Principal to ensure a smooth transition into school and for individual circumstances to be discussed.
    • Students with older brothers and sisters currently in attendance may choose to attend an interview to outline specific needs.
    • Bring all other relevant paperwork in the enrolment package completed as much as possible.

Enrolment interviews will be comencing early Term 2.
