At Bracken Ridge every student is involved in an IT Immersion Program using computers in their learning.
In 2018 the school introduced a School Owned / Parent Paid Laptop Resource Program for Year 10 students with cost options, with all other year levels following suite. We now have all 6 year levels fitted out with their own laptops. Please see

Bracken Ridge State High School is actively exploring the true potential technology offers for teaching and learning. Properly used, technology helps students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.
Integrating technology into the classroom is much more than teaching basic computer skills. It is happening across the curriculum by through active engagement and higher order thinking in real life situations.
Some classes have involved the flipped classroom, others use special developed websites on the Learning Place that have been developed by teachers to provide reference material. The school staff involved in this area include award winners recognised both within Education Queensland as well as National award winners who are always focused on better using computers to improve learning opportunities for students.
Almost every classroom in the school has a digital projector and, together with a wireless infrastructure that covers the entire school buildings, we are able to access digital technology to promote learning not only in classrooms, but in almost all settings. Currently the school has over 400 computers as well as devices such as digital cameras, high definition video cameras, digital cameras, iPod touches and iPads.
